Khana Story
About Me
"Khana" means home in Farsi, because I believe kids with a loving, caring, home-based environment get the nurture and support that they need to grow physically, mentally, and emotionally.
My name is Palwasha, I am a mom of 4 loving children and a wife of 20 years. Childcare has pretty much been a part of my life since I was a teenager. I started as an Assistant Teacher in Chesterbrook Academy in 1999, throughout the years I have been working in many daycare centers in various positions such as Lead Teacher, Curriculum and Activity Coordinator, and much more.
Originally, I had my home daycare license in Fairfax County but have now gotten the Prince William County license and am currently working on licensure through the state. I am also CPR and First Aid certified with over 20 years of experience in the childcare field. References are available upon request.
Please let me know if you have any questions. You can reach me at khanahomedaycare@yahoo.com, PM on facebook at facebook.com/khanahome and at (571) 277-5720.

Our Programs
Learning Through Play

Full-Time/Part-Time Program
A Perfect Fit
We offer full-time and part-time. My hours are 7 am to 6 pm, Monday to Friday. We accept children from 6 weeks old to preschool age. A typical day consists of educational games and fun crafts, nutritious meals and beverages, and indoor/outdoor play weather permitting.

Activities
Fun for All
From time to time we will take education trips to Haymarket Gainesville library for any one of their story times, puppet shows, or to discover books and puzzles. We also engage in outdoor play, visiting different public playgrounds, as well as splash pads during the summer months. The kids will also have fun at our outdoor picnics, weather permitting. Parents will be notified about special field trips and further information.
Khana Mission
Quality Child Care
From language and literacy development to social skills and creative expression, the children at Khana are constantly being exposed to new activities and environments in which to thrive. We build on the strengths and interests of each child to help build a solid foundation where they can develop their futures.

With our progressive and holistic early childhood education philosophy, we understand that each child has unique needs and interests. Once they leave Khana, they’re fully prepared for the next stage of their young lives.
